Refund policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains how to return a product and get a refund. It applies to orders placed on ciaobuddies.com and delivered in Italy and Spain, and it never limits the rights granted to you by law.
1. Return period: from 14 to 90 days
- Legal right of withdrawal – 14 days. For every product you can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of the day you (or a person you indicated) receive it, without giving any reason. If an order contains several products delivered separately, the 14 days start from the receipt of the last product.
- Extended return period – up to 90 days. On some products we voluntarily offer a longer return period of 30, 60 or up to 90 days from delivery. The period that applies is shown on the product page and in your order confirmation. If no extended period is shown, the legal 14-day period applies.
The extended return period is a commercial guarantee that we add to your legal rights: it follows the same procedure described below.
2. How to return a product
- Send us a clear statement within the return period by email to info@ciaobuddies.com, stating your order number and the products you want to return. You can use the model withdrawal form at the end of this page, but it is not mandatory.
- We will reply with the return address and the instructions.
- Ship the products back within 14 days of your return request, well packed, preferably in the original packaging, with all accessories, manuals and any free gifts received with them.
Please do not send products back without contacting us first: we may not be able to identify your parcel.
3. Return shipping costs
The direct cost of returning the products is paid by the customer, who may choose the carrier. We recommend a tracked service, because you are responsible for the parcel until it reaches us. If the product you received is defective, damaged or different from what you ordered, the return is free: we will send you a prepaid label or reimburse the cost.
4. Condition of returned products
You may handle the product as you would in a shop, to check its nature, characteristics and functioning. If the product shows a diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary (for example signs of prolonged use, missing parts or damage), we may deduct an amount corresponding to that loss of value from the refund. During the extended return period beyond the first 14 days, products must be returned unused, complete and in resaleable condition.
5. Exceptions
By law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed after delivery (for example masks, mouthpieces and accessories of personal-care products, wet wipes, refills), if the seal has been opened;
- digital content (for example e-books) once the download or access has started with your prior consent and acknowledgement that you lose the right of withdrawal;
- products made to your specifications or clearly personalised.
Products bought on sale or with a discount can be returned like any other product.
6. Refunds
We refund all amounts paid, including the standard delivery cost originally paid (if any), within 14 days of the day we receive your return request. We may withhold the refund until we have received the products back or you have supplied proof of having sent them, whichever is earlier. If you chose a delivery method more expensive than the standard one, the extra cost is not refunded.
The refund is made with the same payment method you used, unless you expressly agree otherwise, and at no cost to you. Your bank or payment provider may take a few additional days to show the refund.
7. Exchanges
The fastest way to get a different product or size is to return the item you received and place a new order.
8. Defective, damaged or wrong products
Please check your order upon receipt. If a product is defective, damaged in transit or different from what you ordered, write to info@ciaobuddies.com with your order number and a photo or video. Under the legal guarantee of conformity (2 years in Italy, 3 years in Spain from delivery) you are entitled, free of charge, to repair or replacement or, where the law provides, to a price reduction or a refund.
